Patrick Brian Jones, AIA

“I believe that architecture and design are not about being  modern or traditional,” says Patrick Brian Jones. “In the words of a mentor I once had, architecture is about the things you see and how you see them; first you must see the beauty, then you may use it.”

Jones translates designs into sophisticated yet simple spaces  that reflect the needs and lifestyles of those who inhabit them.  After spending a combined 15 years at two small design firms where, he says, he “wore many hats,” he launched his own firm in 2011.  “I am as comfortable in the design studio as I am on a construction site,” he comments. “I think a comprehensive understanding of all  aspects is key.”

The needs and budgets of his clients are paramount. “I listen closely and engage clients in the design process from the beginning,” Jones explains. “I ask questions, propose ideas and incorporate feedback until we are able to convene on the best design for the client.” This philosophy forms the foundation for a partnership that continues from design through construction and on to the first dinner party they will host in their new space.

Projects by Patrick Brian Jones have appeared in both national and regional publications; a project by Jones appeared on the cover  of the March/April 2018 issue of Home & Design.
